• Recall 137445 [USA]: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
  Rev recreation group (rev) is recalling certain 2009-2010 and 2012-2014 holiday rambler ambassador, 2010 and 2013-2014 endeavor, 2009-2010 neptune, 2010 scepter, and 2011 trip diesel motorhomes, equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable.   rev will notify owners, and instruct them to contact kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin january 18, 2018. • Recall 115419 [USA]: Unstable entry and exit steps increase the risk of injury.
  Allied recreation group, inc. (arg) is recalling certain model year 2010-2011 holiday rambler admiral, 2009-2014 holiday rambler ambassador, 2010 holiday rambler arista, 2010-2014 holiday rambler endeavor, 2009-2011 holiday rambler neptune, 2011-2014 holiday rambler vacationer, 2009-2011 monaco cayman, 2010-2014 monaco diplomat, 2014 monaco dynasty, 2009-2014 monaco knight, 2012-2013 monaco lapalma, 2009-2013 monaco monarch, 2009-2011 monaco riptide, 2008 safari passage, and 2008 safari simba motorhomes. The affected vehicles are equipped with certain lippert-brand coachstep double electric steps. These steps use a bolt to attach the fan gear assembly to the steps. This bolt may fracture allowing the fan gear to disengage from the steps. As a result, the steps may not remain in the expected position and may be unstable.

• Recall 90754 [USA]: An unexpected engine shut down while driving may increase the risk of a vehicle crash.
  Navistar is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 ic bus brand model 1300fbc, ce, hc, and re buses; model year 2011-2013 international brand model durastar, model year 2013 international brand workstar trucks; model year 2013 holiday rambler brand model ambassador and endeavor vehicles; and model year 2013 monaco brand model diplomat and knight vehicles. These vehicles were manufactured august 5, 2010 through september 6, 2012 and are equipped with certain 2011-2013 model year i-6 engines with feature codes 12nuk, 12nul, 12num, 12nun, 12nup, 12nur, 12nus, 12nut, 12nuu, 12nuv, 12nux, 12nuy and 12nuz. The injection pressure regulator (ipr) harness wire may break due to vibrational damage. This could cause an unexpected shut down of the engine.

  On certain vehicles equipped with kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by kidde directly. • Recall 2016019 [Canada]: Accessories
  On certain motorhomes equipped with lippert components inc. Electric entry steps, an internal bolt on the steps that attaches the fan gear assembly to the steps could fracture. This results in the fan gear disengaging from the steps, which could cause the steps to stop in an unexpected position and appear to be loose or unstable. If the steps become unstable, it could cause a person to fall, resulting in injury. Correction: dealers will install a step retainer bracket to reinforce the operating mechanism, and all bolts of the mechanism will also be replaced.

• Recall 2013011 [Canada]: Electrical
  On certain vehicles, the injection pressure regulator (ipr) electrical wire may break due to vibration damage at the crimp/wire connection. This could cause an unexpected engine shut down without warning. Loss of vehicle propulsion, in conjunction with traffic and road condition, and the driver’s reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: dealers will install a redesigned ipr wire connector.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 holiday rambler ambassador. While attempting to pull the vehicle over to the side of the road at 20 mph, the steps of the rv independently disengaged from the lock position and struck a cement barrier. As a result, the steps and the body of the rv were damaged. The rv was included in nhtsa campaign number: 15v872000 (equipment). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. We were on the interstate when the engine lost power, there was no warning. A light came on and indicated that we had to shut the engine off. The rv lost power and we were down to 20mph, we finally came to an exit and got off of the interstate. This is not the first time this has happened, we had another 2013 holiday rambler and it did the same thing. It is very dangerous!

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 holiday rambler ambassador rv. While driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle veered out of lane independently. In addition, the contact mentioned that the steering wheel seized on a separate occasion. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who was unable to locate the failure. The manufacturer stated that the steering box operated as designed. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.
