• Recall 151033 [USA]: In the event of a crash necessitating air bag deployment, an inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants. an underinflated air bag cushion may not properly protect the occupant. these scenarios increase the risk of serious injury or death.
  Honda (american honda motor co.) is recalling certain 1998 acura 2.2cl, 1998-1999 acura 2.3cl, 1998-1999 acura 3.0cl, 2001 acura 3.2cl and acura mdx, 1998-2000 honda accord coupe, accord sedan, civic sedan, odyssey and acura 3.5rl, 1999-2000 acura 3.2tl, 1996-2000 civic coupe, 1997-2000 cr-v, 1997-1998 ev plus, and 1998-1999 isuzu oasis vehicles. These vehicles were equipped with non-azide driver air bag inflators (nadi) and do not contain phase stabilized ammonium nitrate (psan) propellant. Due to a manufacturing issue, the nadi inflators may absorb moisture, causing the inflators to rupture or the air bag cushion to underinflate.
  honda will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the driver frontal air bag inflator, and replace it if necessary, with an inflator of a different design, free of charge. The recall began october 1, 2020. Owners may contact american honda's customer support & campaign center at 1-888-234-2138 or isuzu customer service at 1-800-255-6727.

  On certain sedans, coupes, hatchbacks, and sport utility vehicles, electrical contacts in the ignition switch can degrade due to the high electrical current passing through the switch when the vehicle is started.

• Recall 9613 [USA]: A sudden, unexpected loss of lighting or a failure of the windshield wipers in bad weather, could be hazardous increasing the risk of a crash.
  Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. An improperly routed under dash wire harness could be damaged by contact with the brake light switch, possibly resulting in a blown fuse. If this occurs, operation of a critical component can be lost, including windshield wipers, headlights, turn signal and hazard lamps, tail lamps, the anti-locking function of the brakes, and battery charging system.
  dealers will install a 70mm protective, corrugated plastic tube over the wire harness, in the area of the brake stop switch. If any wire or wires are damaged, they will be repaired.

• Recall 2020014 [Canada]: Airbag
  Issue: on certain vehicles, exposure to moisture over time could cause the driver-front airbag not to inflate properly in a crash. In some cases, this could cause an airbag not to fully inflate, while in others it could cause it to deploy with more force than normal. It could also cause the inflator to rupture. If the airbag inflator ruptures, small pieces of metal could be propelled toward vehicle occupants or cause damage to the airbag and prevent its proper function. Safety risk: in a crash requiring an airbag deployment, the driver-front airbag may not inflate properly or the inflator could rupture. This could create a risk of injury. Corrective actions: the company will notify owners by mail. There may be a significant delay before replacement parts are available. The company will send you a second letter once replacement parts are available and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the driver-front airbag inflator. If the inflator requires replacement, a newly design part will be installed.

  On certain vehicles, the routing of the under-dash wire harness may allow some wires to contact or rub against the brake light switch. Eventually, the insulation on one of the wires may be damaged causing a short circuit and a blown fuse. If this occurs, operation of a critical component can be lost, including windshield wipers, headlamps, turn signal and hazard lamps, the anti-locking function of the brakes and battery charging system. Specific component failure would depend on which wire was damaged. Correction: wire harness will be inspected and, if necessary, repaired. A 70mm protective, corrugated plastic tube will be installed over the wire harness, in the area of the brake stop switch.

I was driving normally, going 47mph & accelerating as i was about to merge into traffic on high way, when my cars engine suddenly died. I dident even notice at first because it happened suddenly and quietly. I only noticed because the steering locked up and i found it very difficult to turn the wheel. I was able to put on my hazard lights and stop the car on the side of the freeway. Car would not run since this happened. Car will start but die on idel. Have replaced starter, main relay, ignition, spark plugs and have had 4 auto shops look at it and still no one can figure out the issue..
