On 5/26/2020 my husband & i were driving home from gilroy, ca with our new 2019 jayco precept prestige motorhome. We were heading nb on i-55 (50-55mph) crossing from missouri into illinois (collinsville area) & a heavy hauler carrying concrete, was speeding sb on i-55 (65 mph at least) in a construction zone, jacked knifed his vehicle to avoid slamming into stop/slowed traffic. In doing so, he went into center median causing the posted 55 mph speed sign with photo enforced attached to top of sign, along with a wall of dried dirt and stone to fly into our windshield and causing it to completely implode it into our faces and brand new motorhome. Nothing is left of the windshield. The state police and emt's on site questioned why the windshield was damaged to the point of what it was. Also, the repair that our motorhome is currently at, indicated that they have never seen a windshield exploded the way this one did. Our motorhome is 38'8" long and there's glass from front to back. I've been in contact with jayco and they've responded back, saying that the windshield installed has met all safety standards and codes. *tr

The first time the windshield wipers failed was in oct 2018. I was returning from a trip and was in colorado when it started raining and light snow. I noticed was the drivers side wiper blade was coming away from the wiper arm. I pulled over 3 times in the rain on interstate 70 to try to attach it. As i was continuing on my trip in had just gotten on the south bound interstate 15 in utah when the entire wiper assembly suddenly flopped to the outside of the motorhome. It was no longer working. I had to find an off ramp to pull off. Upon examining it i was able to determine the blade assembly and wiper motor were stripped out. I tried to continue to drive until the rain was so bad i was unable to see. I had found a rest area to safely pull into and call for road side assistance. After waiting 3 hours and making several more calls for help i was able to find to proceed as the rain had stopped. A little further down the road i spotted a camp ground and decided to stay as it was getting dark. The next morning was clear and i headed to st. George ut. I stopped at a ford dealership to see about getting a new wiper assembly. They said they didnt have what i needed and to contact jayco. I even stopped at an auto parts store and was told they didnt carry the part and to try ford. Now fast forward to 2019 after having the wipers worked on several times st camping world over the past 8 months , i was on a trip from nv to florida in early november when driving though tx the wipers again starting failing. It was till i was heading home that the entire wiper striped out again. I made 2 attempts to stop at a camping world and 1 attempt to stop at a ford dealer. That i was told they could get the part but it would take a week or more and that was if it was in stock.I was once again force to limp across country with no wipers and a winter storm was baring down on the area i was in.

September 15 2018 while exiting the parking lot of a walmart in sterling colorado, i and my passenger heard a loud clunk and felt a sudden vibration. I immediately pulled back it to the parking lot. I exited the motorhome and took a look around. I look under the coach to find the exhaust system was laying part on the ground and part was wrapped around the driveline of the coach. Seeing that it was a saturday and just about 2 in the afternoon. We started calling jayco, ford motor company and any and all emergency service numbers i could find. We finally called a mobile repair company who agreed to come out. T.L.C. Automotive and towing arrived about an hour and half later. Upon initial inspection the driver informed me the exhaust system had fall off but it had done so because it hadn't been fully installed. He showed me there were only two brackets holding the entire exhaust system in place and neither of them were installed correctly or fully. Had this happened at highway speeds it could have cause a potently fatal accident. The mechanic was able to remove the exhaust system so the motorhome was able to drive to the repair facility. It took 3 weeks to get the necessary parts from jayco so the coach could be repaired. During that time i had to stay in a local motel at my expense.
