• Recall 127564 [USA]: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling various 2002-2016 recreational vehicles equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.Nhtsa.Gov/odi/rcl/2017/rmisc-17v746-9524.Pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable.   jayco will notify owners, instructing them to contact kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on january 15, 2018. • Recall 120976 [USA]: A flammable shower curtain may further fuel a fire, increasing the risk of injury.
  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling certain model year 2013-2017 redhawk motorhomes manufactured august 1, 2012, to june 24, 2016. The affected vehicles are equipped with shower curtains that may not adequately resist catching fire in the presence of an ignition source. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 302, "flammability of interior materials."
  jayco has notified owners, and dealers will replace the shower curtains with curtains made with fire retardant, free of charge. The recall began august 11, 2016. Owners may contact jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9903318.

• Recall 2017649 [Canada]: Accessories
  On certain vehicles equipped with kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by kidde directly. • Recall 2016386 [Canada]: Accessories
  Certain motorhomes may not comply with canada motor vehicle safety standard (cmvss) 302 - flammability of interior materials. The shower door installed in the vehicle does not meet the requirements of the standard, which could enhance the spread of a flame in the event of a fire. This could result in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will replace the shower door with a material that meets the requirements of the standard.
