Recall 138720 [USA]: If the aerial device moves in an unexpected direction, the ladder may contact an object, such as a building or an electrical wire, increasing the risk of injury.

The affected vehicles have a rear sway bar that may detach from the vehicle. pierce will notify owners, and dealers will replace and properly torque the sway bar fasteners, free of charge. Pierce manufacturing (pierce) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 dash emergency vehicles manufactured october 17, 2014, to september 30, 2016 and equipped with cummins isl engines. The affected vehicles have a starter motor that may be damaged from interference with to an incorrect cab lift pump bracket that was installed. pierce will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles, replacing the bracket and starter motor, as necessary, free of charge. Recall 120817 [USA]: If the power output cannot be changed, once the fire truck arrives at the scene, it may not be able to pump water to aid in extinguishing the fire, increasing the risk of injury.
Pierce manufacturing (pierce) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 arrow, dash, enforcer, impel, quantum, saber, and velocity fire trucks manufactured june 29, 2015, to june 30, 2016. The affected vehicles may be equipped with certain c20 and c21 split-shaft transmissions from waterous. This transmission sends power to the wheels of an emergency response vehicle or power to an add-on unit such as a water pump used for fighting fires. A component within the shift unit may be damaged and as a result, the operator may not be able to switch the power output. piece will notify owners, and dealers will remove the shift unit assembly and replace the clevis pin and retaining rings, free of charge. Recall 113074 [USA]: If the cap was not properly tightened, the cap may detach from the vehicle and become a road hazard. additionally, the universal joint may separate and the vehicle may not be able to be driven, increasing the risk of a crash.

Recall 2020240 [Canada]: Structure
Issue: on certain aerial fire trucks, the ladder could rotate unexpectedly to the right when it is being extended due to an error with the control module. Safety risk: a ladder that moves unexpectedly could create an increased risk of injury. Corrective actions: pierce has repaired all affected fire trucks.
Recall 2016172 [Canada]: Powertrain
Certain vehicles may have driveshaft universal joint bearing cap fasteners that were not properly tightened at the time of assembly. This could allow bearing caps to detach from the vehicle and become a road hazard. Additionally, this could cause the universal joint to separate causing a loss of motive power which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction : dealers will inspect and retighten the fasteners as necessary.
