  Issue: on certain side-by-side utv's, the accelerator pedal may not return when it is released. This could cause the throttle to stick open. Note: this recall replaces r-21-01 (transport canada recall 2021-008). If your utv was inspected as a part of that recall, but the accelerator pedal was not replaced, your utv requires this repair. Safety risk: a throttle that sticks in the open position could cause a loss of control and create the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: the company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your utv to a dealer to replace the accelerator pedal. To reduce the safety risk, the company recommends that you should avoid driving your utv until the recall repairs have been completed.

If this happens while the clutch is still rotating, the cords can cut through the inner clutch cover and damage the fuel line. This could cause a fuel leak. Safety risk: a fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective actions: polaris will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to install a bracket to protect the fuel line from damage when a drive belt breaks. To reduce the safety risk, polaris recommends that you should avoid riding your utv until the recall repairs have been completed.

  Issue: on certain side-by-side utv's, the seat belt retractors may be missing a part. This could cause the seat belt to not to work as designed. As a result, the seat belt may not properly restrain a passenger in a crash. Safety risk: a seat belt that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury to passengers in a crash. Corrective actions: consumers should immediately stop using their vehicle and call their dealer to schedule an inspection. Polaris is notifying dealers and contacting registered owners by mail, and email, if available. Polaris will instruct owners and dealers to check the lot code of the utv's seat belts. Owners should stop using their vehicle if the lot code is within the identified range. The corrective actions for this recall are being finalized.
