• Recall 126623 [USA]: If the hitch detaches, the tow vehicle would not be connected to the motorhome, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Tiffin motorhomes, inc. (tiffin) is recalling certain 2013-2018 allegro open road motorhomes. Insufficient strength of the frame rail may allow the tow hitch to detach from the motorhome.
  tiffin will notify owners, and dealers will install an insert plate to strengthen the frame rail, free of charge. Tiffin issued owners an interim notification on may 31, 2018. The recall began on july 24, 2018. Owners may contact tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin's number for this recall is tif-109. Note: some vehicles already remedied as part of recall 17v200 will need the additional repairs covered by this recall.

• Recall 130419 [USA]: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
  Tiffin motorhomes, inc. (tiffin) is recalling certain 2009-2018 allegro and allegro red, bus and phaeton vehicles, 2009-2010 bay vehicles, 2011-2018 breeze vehicles, and 2009-2015, and 2017-2018 zephyr vehicles. These motorhomes are equipped with kidde plastic-handle or push button 'pindicator' fire extinguishers that may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. • Recall 117540 [USA]: The steering wheel's connection to the front axle could fail resulting in a sudden loss of steering ability, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Tiffin motorhomes is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 allegro phaeton and 2015-2016 allegro bus trucks manufactured october 1, 2014 to august 1, 2015, equipped with certain zf rl77 / 80em independent front steering axles equipped with bosch 8018 steering boxes. The boxes were manufactured using incorrect internal spacers that can cause premature wear in the connection between the steering wheel and the front axle.

• Recall 117466 [USA]: Unstable entry and exit steps increase the risk of injury.
  Tiffin motorhomes (tiffin) is recalling certain model year 2007-2015 motorhomes manufactured may 1, 2007, to december 31, 2014, equipped with certain coachstep double and triple electric steps. The bolt that attaches the fan gear assembly to the steps may fracture allowing the fan gear to disengage from the steps. As a result, the steps may not remain in the expected position and may become unstable.
  dealers will install a retainer bracket on the double step assemblies and the coachstep linkage assembly will be replaced and a retainer bracket will be installed on the trip step assemblies. • Recall 106624 [USA]: If the motorhome is loaded to the incorrect specifications listed on the label, tire failure may result, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Tiffin motorhomes, inc. (tiffin) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 allegro bus 45 foot lp, 37 foot, and 40 foot motorhomes. In the affected vehicles, the federal certification label incorrectly states the front gross axle weight rating (gawr). As such, the vehicles do not conform to part 567, "certification."

• Recall 104522 [USA]: The weakened seat belt may fail to properly restrain the seat occupant in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
  Tiffin motorhomes, inc. (tiffin) is recalling certain model year 2014 allegro bus recreational vehicles equipped with certain villa international abts driver and passenger abts seats. The seat belt attachment may be incorrect and the seat belt may fray if it rubs along a steel bracket in the seat, reducing its strength. As such, these seats do not conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 209, "seat belt assemblies."

  Tiffin motorhomes, inc. (tiffin) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 allegro 33aa motorhomes equipped with an electric fireplace. In the affected vehicles, the fireplace may ignite a piece of exposed wood inside the electric fireplace.

Under certain loading, or heavy braking conditions the trailer hitch could possibly detach, which would result in the loss of the towed vehicle and/or trailer, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.   On certain motorhomes equipped with lippert components inc. Electric entry steps, an internal bolt on the steps that attaches the fan gear assembly to the steps could fracture. • Recall 2014576 [Canada]: Label
  On certain vehicles, the compliance label does not contain the correct gross axle weight rating (gawr) for the front axle. The label incorrectly indicates a gvwr of 17,000 lbs on 45 foot buses and 16,600 lbs on on 37 and 40 foot buses. The correct gawr would be 16,000 lbs and 15,000 lbs, respectively. Incorrect gawr could cause the vehicle to be overloaded, which would result in poor vehicles handling characteristics, increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: updated labels will be mailed to owners of affected vehicles, along with instructions for proper installation.

  On certain vehicles, the driver and passenger seat belt attachment points may have been incorrectly installed. This could cause damage to the seat belt webbing over time, which could result in seat belt failure in a crash, increasing the risk of injury to vehicle occupants. Cruise control disengage while driving, air brakes gauges drop dead and brake waning lights come. Also the mil light comes on and the message center reads 'check engine'. You have to smack the top of the dash to get it to read normal. This happens weather standing still or driving. You have to keep looking down at the dash to see what happening now, this is dangerous.

At highway speed, dash lit up with warning lights, dash sounded alarms, mobile eye flashed err..And dash display flashed abs comm error! 60 seconds latter the engine stopped (everything dead)...But motor coach still moving with no power steering! Luckily i was able to stop the coach in a busy exit lane. After 4 hours (police stayed with us the entire time)...Was able to reset ecm error code and start the engine. After contacting tiffin, they advised to disconnect mobile eye under dash. Spent 1 hour under dash (while in traffic) trying to find connection. Never found, believe it is not under dash, but up and behind a kick panel? Limped coach home...With the problem recurring 2 additional times. This a s major safety problem...Imagine the panic of at 70 mph this problem happening...And you only have 60 seconds to find a safe place to bring 50,000 pounds of coach to a safe stop before loosing all power! This problem has been reported multiple times by others as recorded in the tiffin network forum. This should be a tiffin recall action!*dt*jb

Rear air suspension air bag bellows separated from mounting plate when extended as rear of coach raises during the auto leveling function at rest in a campsite. Coach suspension cannot re-inflate for travel until replacement or repair. Traveling can still occur with coach although rear suspension will not have air pressure in rear bags, adversely affecting the handling of the moving coach creating a potential accident.

Coachstep model 181174 30"single retractible step, bolt in mechanism sheared off rendering the step unusable note: i was on step when it broke and was not injured rv was parked when it occured.

2014 tiffin allegro motorhome/2013 ford chassis. Consumer writes in regards to acceleration problems. *smd the consumer stated as he started to accelerate from a stop at the end of the exit ramp, the rv would not accelerate. It seemed to be missing. After several cycles of pressing and releasing the accelerator, the engine ran smoothly and accelerated. Also, the brake system and brake reserve system warning lights illuminated on the 5th day of owing the rv. The consumer stated he experienced what was known as idle mode, which was the engine operation condition in which the engine would not accelerate by depressing the accelerator. The rv was taken to the repair shop. However, no error codes appeared for the problem the consumer described, but during a test drive, the mechanic was able to see, what the consumer was referring to, as the incident occurred 4 times. The dealer did determine the brake pressure switch was faulty, but the part was not available. The brake pressure switch was finally replaced. However, the warning lights continued to illuminate. The consumer stated the warning lights would come on several miles after start-up. After the engine was shut down, the lights would not illuminate immediately at start-up. Also, the brake pedal seemed hard, it required a lot of pressure, to bring the unit to a stop. Also, the rv was leaking power steering fluid. The dealer found a fitting at the bottom of the power steering pump loose. *jb
