  Tiffin motorhomes, inc. (tiffin) is recalling certain 2016-2024 allegro bus, and 2017-2024 zephyr motorhomes. The 240-volt induction cooktop may not be grounded, which can create an electrical shock hazard if the wires short-circuit.

The sofa seat belts may not have been installed correctly, which could result in unsecured passengers. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 210, "seat belt assembly anchorages."

  Issue: on certain motorhomes, the nuts on the bus bar in the dc power distribution panel may not be tightened properly. As a result, the bus bar could overheat and melt other parts. Safety risk: an overheated or melted electrical panel could create the risk of a fire. Corrective actions: tiffin will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to inspect and tighten the nuts on the dc power distribution panel. On motorhomes with the optional larger 2000 w inverter, the dealer will also remove the bus bar from the dc power distribution panel, and replace it with a cable.

  Issue: on certain motorhomes, the fuel rail assembly could develop a leak. Note: this recall only affects motorhomes equipped with a cummins l9 diesel engine. Safety risk: a fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective actions: cummins will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a cummins authorized service center to inspect the fuel rail. If damage is found, the fuel rail and fuel lines will be replaced. If no damage is found, the fuel rail will be reassembled with new crush washers using a special tool.

• Recall 2021292 [Canada]: Powertrain
  Issue: on certain motorhomes, the rear axle was not properly filled with oil. Operating the vehicle like this could result in damage to the rear axle bearings that can cause them to seize. If that happens, the rear axle or driveshaft could fail, causing a loss of power to the wheels. Additionally, a vehicle with a rear axle or driveshaft failure may also move when the transmission is in park, even if the parking brake is applied. Safety risk: a loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A parked vehicle that rolls away could also increase the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective actions: tiffin will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a ford dealer to inspect the oil level in the rear axle. The rear axle bearings will be replaced, if necessary.

  Issue: on certain motorhomes, the hydraulic cylinder that moves the slide-out room may have a defective inner seal. As result, the slide-out room could extend from the motorhome while parked, or in rare cases, while driving. Note: defective hydraulic cylinders list a manufacturing date that is before 03/01/2022 on the body of the cylinder. Safety risk: a slide-out room that extends from the motorhome while driving could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: tiffin will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect, and if necessary, replace the hydraulic cylinder.

  Issue: on a small number of motorhomes, the patio awning wasn't installed properly. As a result, the awning could detach and fall from the motorhome. Note: this recall only affects certain allegro red 360 motorhomes with a 37pa floor plan. Safety risk: an awning that falls from the motorhome could create a risk of injury. An awning that detaches from a moving vehicle could create road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: tiffin will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to inspect, and if necessary, attach the awning to the motorhome properly.

• Recall 2022007 [Canada]: Lights and instruments
  Issue: certain motorhomes built on a freightliner chassis could have a problem with the rear-mounted power distribution module (pdm). This could cause the tail lights not to work properly. Note: this recall replaces fl-856 (transport canada recall 2020-421). Motorhomes that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety risk: brake lights or turn signals that do not work could cause a following driver not to recognize that a vehicle ahead is braking or intends to turn. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: tiffin will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

Corrective actions: none of the affected motorhomes have been sold to retail customers. Tiffin will instruct the dealer to take the motorhome to a daimler trucks north america authorized service facility to replace the tie rod arm bolts and the steering arm bolts before it is sold.
