SERVICE INFORMATION
If one or more of the indicator and/or
warning lights in Figure 1 are ON and no
DTCs are found stored, use the REPAIR
FLOW CHART starting on page 2.

The REPAIR FLOW CHART in this
bulletin can be used in addition to the
procedure(s) outlined in the
applicable Electronic Service Manual
(ESM).

REPAIR FLOW CHART
The BRAKE, ABS,
VDC OFF, and SLIP
lights are ON.
The ABS, VDC OFF,
and SLIP lights are
ON.
The VDC OFF and
SLIP lights are ON.
Go to ‘A’ on page 3.
Go to ‘B’ on page 4.
Is the speedometer working?
Yes
No
Follow the diagnostic
procedure for “Actuator
Motor, Motor Relay and
Circuit Inspection” in the
ESM.
Replace the ABS actuator
and electric unit.

The ABS, VDC OFF, and
SLIP lights are ON.
Connect CONSULT, go to DATA
MONITOR and watch pressure
sensor and wheel speed sensor
inputs.
Record pressure sensor and
wheel speed sensor inputs while
driving the vehicle:
• More than one (1) minute
at a minimum of 20 MPH,
and
• Slowing down the vehicle
three (3) times by braking.
Are the pressure sensor
signals always 0?
Yes
No
Are any of the wheel speed
sensor signals always 0?
Replace the ABS actuator
and electric unit.
No
Yes
Replace the wheel speed
sensor that always reads 0.

The VDC OFF and SLIP lights
are ON.
Connect CONSULT, go to DATA
MONITOR and watch the yaw
rate/side/decel G sensor’s input.
Does the yaw rate/side/decel G
sensor signal always read 0?
No
Yes
Replace the yaw
rate/side/decel G sensor.
Replace the ABS actuator
and electric unit.
