Front
If for any reason the engine harness is replaced, during the replacement of the harness,
install a rubber protective pad on the battery tray support bracket at the location shown in
Figure 1 below. Refer to the Service Procedure for installation instructions.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
Only ½ of the
pad will be used
1. Cut the rubber protective pad in half,
length wise.
•
Only ½ (either half) of the pad will
be used.

2. Clean the area where the protective
pad will be installed.
•
Installation area is shown with
dashed line.
•
Clean both sides of the bracket
edge. Pad will be folded over and
attached to both sides.

3. Attach the rubber protective pad as
shown.
4. Fold the protective pad over the
bracket edge so it covers and sticks to
both side.

NOTE: Figure 4 shows the finished installation of the protective pad on both sides of the
