SB-10044039-4198 Classificatio n: Reference: EL12-034 Date: NTB12-043 May 4, 2012 2008 – 2012 ROGUE ENGINE HARNESS REPLACEMENT APPLIED VEHICLES: 2008 – 2012 Rogue (S35) SERVICE INFORMATION Front If for any reason the engine harness is replaced, during the replacement of the harness, install a rubber protective pad on the battery tray support bracket at the location shown in Figure 1 below. Refer to the Service Procedure for installation instructions. Install rubber protective pad here Battery tray support bracket – under battery tray Figure 1 PARTS INFORMATION DESCRIPTION Rubber Protective Pad PART # 76884-CA00A QUANTITY 1 Nissan Bulletins are intended for use by qualified technicians, not 'do-it-yourselfers'. Qualified technicians are properly trained individuals who have the equipment, tools, safety instruction, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. NOTE: If you believe that a described condition may apply to a particular vehicle, DO NOT assume that it does. See your Nissan dealer to determine if this applies to your vehicle. 1/3 SERVICE PROCEDURE Only ½ of the pad will be used 1. Cut the rubber protective pad in half, length wise. • Only ½ (either half) of the pad will be used. Figure 2 Pad installed here; clean area 2. Clean the area where the protective pad will be installed. • Installation area is shown with dashed line. • Clean both sides of the bracket edge. Pad will be folded over and attached to both sides. Figure 2 2/3 NTB12-043 3. Attach the rubber protective pad as shown. 4. Fold the protective pad over the bracket edge so it covers and sticks to both side. Install pad and fold over Figure 3 NOTE: Figure 4 shows the finished installation of the protective pad on both sides of the bracket.
