• Recall 115786 [USA]: An electrical short can cause a vehicle fire.
  Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain model year 2008-2013 nissan rogue vehicles manufactured march 7, 2007, to november 26, 2013, and 2014 nissan rogue select vehicles manufactured september 23, 2013, to july 2, 2014. The affected vehicles may experience an electrical short in the harness connector due to a mixture of snow/water and salt seeping through the carpet on the driver side floor near the harness connector.
  nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the kick panel wiring harness connector and will if necessary install a new harness connector and waterproof seal, free of charge. The recall began on february 26, 2015. Owners may contact nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

• Recall 68572 [USA]: Overheated batteries could result in a fire.
  Nissan is recalling certain vehicles that were equipped with a garmin nuvi model 750 navigation system. The batteries contained in the affected gps units can overheat.
  nissan will notify owners and the repairs will be performed by garmin technicians by replacing the battery and inserting a spacer on top of the battery free of charge. The safety recall began on september 16, 2010. Owners may contact garmin directly at 1-866-957-1981 or nissan at 1-800-647-7261.

• Recall 81169 [USA]: The screw may eventually come out of the steering gear cover. if large steering inputs are made with the cover screw missing the pinion shaft may come out of the steering gear resulting in a complete loss of steering control and increasing the risk of a crash.
  Nissan is recalling certain model year 2008-2009 rogue vehicles. A screw in the steering gear housing cover may loosen over time and could fall out. As it loosens, the steering response of the vehicle may be compromised but the driver will retain steering control.
  dealers will inspect whether the steering gear cover screw is loose and will be retightened to the proper specification. Dealers will also install a cover plate to prevent the screw from possibly coming out of the steering gear. This service will be performed free of charge. • Recall 67735 [USA]: If the tpms lamp is disregarded and the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition, the tire will quickly lose air pressure at a consistent rate resulting in a flat tire increasing the risk of a crash.
  Nissan is recalling certain model year 2008-2010 vehicles originally sold in or currently registered in the states of connecticut, delaware, iowa, illinois, indiana, massachusetts, maine, maryland, michigan, minnesota, missouri, new hampshire, new jersey, new york, ohio, pennsylvania, rhode island, vermont, washington d.C., west virginia and wisconsin. The material in the nut used to secure the sensor-transmitter of the tire pressure monitoring system (tpms) may corrode and potentially crack in areas with heavy concentrations of road salt. If this occurs, the nut may come out of the sensor-transmitter and the tpms lamp will illuminate.

• Recall 80566 [USA]: This could result in the passenger air bag being suppressed which could fail to provide adequate protection in the event of a crash.
  Nissan is recalling 204,361 my 2007-2008 altima, altima hybrid, 350z, 350z roadster, my 2008 altima coupe, rogue, my 2009 murano, and infiniti my 2007-2008 g35 sedan, my 2008 g37 coupe and ex35 passenger vehicles equipped with continental automotive systems' occupant classification system (ocs) control units. A varistor in the ocs control unit located in the passenger seat cushion may have been manufactured out of specification. Under certain conditions, this could cause an interruption of signal between the ocs and the air bag control unit (acu).
  dealers will test the signal between the ocs and acu systems using a special tool to check that it is functioning as designed. If necessary, the seat cushion (containing ocs hardware) will be replaced with a new one manufactured to specification. The recall began on november 4, 2008.   On certain vehicles, wiring harness connector could corrode due to exposure to snow/water containing road salt. This could result in an electrical short causing damage to the connector and increasing the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property.   On certain vehicles, material in the nut used to secure the sensor-transmitter of the tire pressure monitoring system (tpms) may corrode and crack in areas with heavy concentrations of road salt. If this occurs, the nut may come out of the tpms sensor-transmitter causing a rapid loss of tire air pressure. This could adversely affect vehicle control and cause a crash resulting in property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: dealers will replace the tpms nut with a revised version.

  On certain vehicles, the steering gear housing cover screw may have been manufactured out of specification and the axial tension between the screw and gear housing may deteriorate over time. This could allow the screw to gradually loosen, which will cause the steering wheel to exhibit noticeable looseness from the steering assembly. If the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition, the screw may eventually come out of the steering gear housing. If large steering inputs are made with the cover screw missing, the pinion shaft may come out of the steering gear. This may result in a loss of steering control, which could lead to a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: dealers will inspect whether the steering gear cover screw is loose. If it is loose, it will be retightened to the proper specification. In addition, the dealer will install a cover plate to prevent the screw from possibly coming out of the steering gear.

  On certain vehicles, a varistor in the occupant classification system (ocs) control unit located in the passenger seat cushion may have been manufactured incorrectly. Under certain conditions, this could cause an interruption of signal between the ocs and the airbag control unit (acu). This could result in the passenger airbag being suppressed. The (red) supplemental airbag warning light would flash & the (amber) front passenger airbag status light would illuminate to alert the vehicle operator, however in case of a crash a suppressed airbag could result in personal injury or death. Correction: dealers will test the signal between the ocs & acu and if necessary will replace the seat cushion containing ocs hardware.

Issue with airbags system and horn. Horn decided not to work any longer

Airbag warning light flashing and passenger airbag disengaged light on when driving short distance with a passenger. There is a recall ntb08-95 but nissan tells me it does not include my production run. But my car is demonstrating this problem just as described in recall. Recall should be expanded to include my production run. Brought to nissan dealer 10-27-20, it will cost $3200.00 to replace passenger seat cushion just as described in recall campaign.

Due to the failure, the passenger's side air bag remained turned off while the vehicle was being driven. The contact initially took the vehicle to don franklin lexington nissan (3360 richmond rd, lexington, ky 40509) where the combination sensor was replaced however, the failure persisted. Upon returning the vehicle to the original dealer, the contact was informed that the vehicle had a defective ocs sensor and that the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 08v521000 (air bags, electrical system). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.*dt*jb
