Classification: EL14-009 Reference: Date: NTB14-026 April 9, 2014 2008 – 2014 ROGUE; MAIN HARNESS TO BODY HARNESS ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR CORROSION APPLIED VEHICLES: 2008 – 2013 Rogue (S35) 2014 Rogue Select (S35) IF YOU CONFIRM: An electrical issue caused by corrosion in the Main Harness to Body Harness connectors located at the bottom of the driver side A-pillar. Connector numbers M13 to B3 and/or M14 to B4. NOTE: Examples of electrical issues that may occur are; power seat inoperative, power windows inoperative, radio inoperative, horn sounds on its own, etc. See Figure 1 on page 2 for connector location. ACTIONS: 1. Preform repairs to harness connectors as needed. 2. Apply “Harness Protector” to cover the harness connectors. IMPORTANT: The purpose of “ACTION” (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire Service Procedure as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing the repair. Qualified technicians are properly trained individuals who have the equipment, tools, safety instruction, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. Inspect connectors M13, M14, B3, and B4. 2. Perform repair to the connectors as needed. Use harness repair kit J-48817 as needed to perform repairs. NOTE: For instructions on using harness repair kit J-48817, refer to ASIST >> TechMate >> Tech-Mate Tools & Equipment >> Harness Repair Kit User Guide. If necessary, replace the Main Harness and/or Body Harness: NOTE: If needed, refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for harness replacement information. During harness repair, cover connectors M13/B3 and M14/B4 with harness protector (see Figure 2 on the next page). 2/3 NTB14-026 Harness protector During harness repair, cover connectors M13/B3 and M14/B4 with harness protector as shown. Harness protector is listed in the Parts Information. Two protectors come in the package, only one is needed.
