Action CAMPAIGN Review the attached chassis list for your dealer code and schedule your customer(s) for service if their chassis is on the list. This campaign can be performed at any time convenient for the customer (for example: during next scheduled maintenance interval). Use the attached procedure. Review the DWWC or SIR for “Open” next to the “43-43” campaign code prior to performing this repair. NOTE: Some chassis affected are so new that Kenworth may not have customers’ names and addresses registered. Please contact your customers or check your lot for these chassis. Warranty There is no time or mileage limit to this campaign. Kenworth will pay for parts at dealer net plus applicable mark-up and labor: 0.3 hours labor to remove and replace the emissions decal. (Use Quick Claim Code 43-43). File an additional claim for extraordinary circumstance. A quick claim for standard labor must be filed first. You will need to provide the chassis number to PACCAR parts when ordering the replacement label. Qty. 1 Part Number S53-1271 Description PACCAR Vehicle Emissions Control Information Label Background The vehicles included in this campaign may have had the GHG label for a different truck applied during assembly, or the label may have been left off the truck altogether. Procedure 1. Remove the old GHG label, being careful not to damage the vehicle’s paint. 2. Clean any remaining adhesive residue from the paint and dry the surface. 3. Install new GHG label in the same location and orientation as the original label.
