SUBJECT: Recall Campaign 118
2011 - 2014 MY Tucson Airbag
Module Bolts TSB# 14-01-020
Hyundai Motor America is conducting Recall Campaign 118 to verify
the torque on the bolts securing the driver's front airbag module
to the steering wheel on certain 2011 to 2014 model year Hyundai
Tucson vehicles, produced beginning on January 3, 2011 through
December 23, 2013.
Technical Service Bulletin #14-01-020 provides a procedure for
verifying the correct torque on the bolts.
In order to identify only those vehicles affected by Recall
Campaign 118, it will be necessary to access Hyundai Motor
America's "Warranty Vehicle Information" screen via WEBDCS before
starting the repair. The "Warranty Vehicle Information" screen
will identify affected vehicles with an open Recall Campaign 118.
A listing of VEHICLES is also located on WEBDCS, SERVICE tab,
select INFORMATION, and select UNCOMPLETED CAMPAIGN VIN LISTING
DEALER STOCK AND RETAILED.
TSB #13-01-020 will be available on Hyundai's Service Website on
May 21, 2014. It contains instructions on performing the service
and submitting the recall claim.
Customer notification letters will be mailed in June 2014 to all
affected owners.
It is IMPORTANT TO SUBMIT A CAMPAIGN CLAIM FOR EACH VEHICLE
SERVICED so your dealership can be compensated for your work and
Hyundai can maintain accurate records of campaign completions.
