Repair instructions
Technical background
Suspension air pipes connected to the Air Supply Unit may have been fitted incorrectly during manufacture. This condition
could lead to loss of air from the Suspension and a warning message to be displayed on the Driver Instrument Panel.
Remedy
Air pipes to be checked and if required correctly repositioned. White timing marks are used to identify the correct fitting
location – figure 1.

repaired as part of a workshop visit.
Please promptly inform your new and used car sales departments, so that affected vehicles can be checked and if
necessary repaired immediately and not just prior to sale.

Technical background
Suspension air pipes connected to the Air Supply Unit may have been fitted incorrectly during manufacture. This condition
could lead to loss of air from the Suspension and a warning message to be displayed on the Driver Instrument Panel.
Check
If the vehicle is not already listed as repaired within the “repair history” (Elsa Pro) check for the presence of a white
completion mark on the centre hinge, underside of the luggage compartment floor – figure 5.
Should none of the aforementioned checks be evident, continue with the required work in accordance with the following
instructions.

Work
Remove the Air Supply Unit cover – refer to Repair Group.43, Self-Levelling Air Spring System, Air Suspension, Air Supply
Unit – To remove and fit.
Visually inspect the White timing marks on each pipe connected to the Valve Block. There are two timing marks on each
pipe, if correctly positioned it is only possible to see one of the timing marks – figure 2.

Where two timing marks are visible – figure 3 – pipes should be repositioned into the valve block as shown in figure 2 – refer
to Repair Group.43, Self-Levelling Air Spring System, Air Suspension, Solenoid Valve Block – To remove and fit.
If a pipe needs to be repositioned, inspect the internal olive for damage and replace as necessary

Additional Checks
Carry out a “push - pull” check on valve block air pipes to confirm adequate retention.
Ensure the three electrical connectors – “A” - on the Air Supply Unit are fully secure – figure 4.
