For 2013-2016 Escape, 2014-2016 Fiesta, Transit Connect and 2013-2015 Fusion vehicles
equipped with 1.6L Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection(GTDI) engine that exhibits an overheat
condition, the Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostic procedures have been enhanced. Refer to online WSM Section, 303-03 for diagnosis and repair. Note: After root cause diagnosis is identified,
follow normal warranty and policy manual guide lines and/or prior approval process. Submit claims
using Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) operations.
