Subject: Temporary investigation of Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Front Impact Sensors
Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) will be conducting a temporary investigation of
Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) front impact sensors on the following vehicles:



2008 – 2015 MY Lancer
2009 – 2015 MY Lancer Sportback
2008 – 2015 MY Lancer Evolution
This investigation will be conducted only in the Salt Belt States as defined below:
Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan,
Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island,
Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Washington D.C.
Until further notice, if you diagnose a non-accident related failure of a SRS front impact sensor on one
of the above vehicles – regardless of time and mileage – please replace the defective sensor(s) and
submit a warranty claim with proper authorization (if needed) for the repair.
All replaced sensor(s) will be requested to be returned through the normal warranty parts return
system to aid in our investigation.
MMNA will notify you once this investigation is concluded and there is no longer a need to collect
parts.
