• Customer may report that the rear parking aid is inoperative or that the warning does not turn off.
• One of the following DTCs is present in the vehicle electrical system control module, J519 (address word 09):
• DTC 02070 (Rear park assist sensors - disruption)
• DTC 04009 (Voltage supply for rear parking aid sensor - disruption/short circuit to ground)
• DTC 1545 (Rear left outer park assist sensors - disruption/short circuit to ground)
• DTC 1546 (Rear left inner park assist sensors - disruption/short circuit to ground)
• DTC 1547 (Rear right inner park assist sensors - disruption/short circuit to ground)
• DTC 1548 (Rear right outer park assist sensors - disruption/short circuit to ground)
Tip: The rear camera will not turn on when the rear parking aid is inoperative.
Technical Background
Humidity can enter into the rear wiring harness for the parking aid sensors, which can lead to corrosion of the
splices.

1. Inspect the rear bumper wire harness for signs of damage from outside influence. If damage from outside
influence is found, this bulletin does not apply.
2. Open the protective covering of the rear bumper
harness just after the body grommet (Figure 1).

3. If one or both splices (ground splice 352 or
voltage splice X68) are corroded (Figure 2 and
Figure 3), replace the parking aid wiring harness.
