It informs these Technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or provides information that could assist in proper vehicle service. The procedures should not be performed by 'do-it-yourselfers'. If you are not a Retailer, do not assume that a condition described affects your vehicle. Contact an authorized Jaguar service facility to determine whether this bulletin applies to a specific vehicle. Changes are highlighted in gray SECTION: 100-00 Update Prior to Sale: Vacuum Pipe and Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Contact AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE: F-PACE (X761) Model Year: VIN: Assembly Plant: 2017 050224-077394 XE (X760) Model Year: VIN: Assembly Plant: 2017 943887-963452 XF (X260) Model Year: VIN: Assembly Plant: 2017 Y17976-Y37303 INGENIUM I4 2.0L Diesel Solihull INGENIUM I4 2.0L Diesel Solihull INGENIUM I4 2.0L Diesel Castle Bromwich MARKETS: NAS CONDITION SUMMARY: Situation: An issue has been identified on a limited number of vehicles within the listed Affected Vehicle Range where the chassis mount vacuum pipe assembly has been identified as having the potential to move downwards along its securing position on the dipstick tube and come into contact with the HP exhaust gas recirculation pipe. This may result in the chassis mount vacuum hose melting under direct or radiated heat from the HP exhaust gas recirculation pipe and causing a loss of vacuum pressure to the vacuum line. Action: Retailers are required to HOLD affected new vehicles that are within your control and refrain from releasing the vehicles for new vehicle sale pending completion of ALL of the Service Instructions (A-F) detailed in this Technical Bulletin. Unsold vehicles should have this performed as part of the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) process but must have it completed prior to vehicle handover to the customer. This program does not apply to any vehicle already registered and in use, either with the retailer or customer. Any vehicle already in use may continue to be driven and any repair instructions deemed necessary will be communicated through a separate Field Action or Technical Bulletin. PARTS: NOTE: Order only the expected percentage demand of parts identified. NOTE: NOTE: it is no longer necessary to contact the Jaguar Customer Team to obtain a fuel line clip. Please follow normal ordering processes. http://topix.jaguar.jlrext.com/topix/service/procedure/692634/ODYSSEY_FSA/G201993... 10/31/2016 Page 2 of 18 DESCRIPTION PART No./SUNDRY CODE QTY./VALUE EXPECTED % of VEHICLES REQUIRING PARTS Stainless Roller Ball Cable Tie (200mm x 4.6mm) ZZZ001 *$4.00 [CAD] *$3.00 [USD] 100 Stainless Roller Ball Cable Tie (200mm x 4.6mm) ZZZ001 *$4.00 [CAD] *$3.00 [USD] 100 Air cleaner T2H6339 1 < 2.0 Fuel line clip T2H24805 1 19 Vacuum Pipe JDE36766 1 < 1.0 Cable tie 300mm x 4.8mm ZZZ001 *$0.40 [CAD] *$0.30 [USD] 20 Cable tie 200mm x 4.5mm ZZZ001 *$0.40 [CAD] *$0.30 [USD] 20 Hose clamps ZZZ001 *$16.00 [CAD] *$12.00 [USD] 100 * - an allowance has been provided to cover the cost of the locally sourced parts and must be claimed using Sundry Code ‘ZZZ001’.
