2015 – 2016 Touareg w/3.6l - Misfires on Cold Start – DTCS
P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, P0306, May be
Setting, Fuel Quality is Suspect
Review the GFF log and verify the misfires were set on cold start up ONLY. This will typically be at
ambient temps below 10°C (50°F). It may also be beneficial to find out what brand and octane fuel the
customer is using and if they use continually utilize the same filling station. Drain both sides of the Fuel
Tank (IT IS IMPERATIVE TO DRAIN BOTH SIDES OF THE TANK). Add fresh Fuel (minimum of ½ tank)
using Top Tier Fuel Premium Fuel. Clear all DTC’s and road test 50 to 200 miles with multiple Cold startups. Please advise the customer to utilize Top Tier Fuel, of the correct Octane per their owner’s manual.
