Cause: This may be because the Auto Stop/Start system can only be robustly diagnosed using the Jaguar Land Roverapproved diagnostic system, starting with the health check application which will indicate the cause of any faults. Always refer to TOPIx to obtain the latest repair time. NOTE: DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero. DESCRIPTION SRO TIME (HOURS) CONDITION CODE CAUSAL PART Auto start/stop system inoperative 86.80.90 0.2 42 Refer to the Diagnostic Procedure section NOTE: Normal Warranty procedures apply. DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE: 1. The causal number will vary depending on the findings of the Diagnostic Procedure. Make sure the relevant causal part number is claimed based on the test results. NOTE: The Jaguar Land Roverapproved diagnostic tool must be loaded with DVD145.05 v.238 or later. 2. Connect the Jaguar Land Roverapproved Midtronics battery power supply to the vehicle battery. 3. Turn ignition ON (engine not running). 4. Connect the Jaguar Land Roverapproved diagnostic tool to the vehicle and begin a new session. 5. Follow the onscreen prompts, allowing the diagnostic tool to read the VIN, identify the vehicle, and initiating the data collect sequence. The battery power supply must be disconnected from the vehicle battery. 6. Select 'Diagnosis' from the Session Type screen. 7. Select the 'Selected Symptoms' tab and then select: Powertrain Engine system Starting system Startstop system inoperative 8. Select 'continue'. 9. Select the 'Recommendations' tab and then select 'Run' to perform the 'Powertrain Auto stop/start system Health check' option. 10. Follow all onscreen instructions. 11. When all tasks are complete, select the 'Session' tab and then select the 'Close Session' option. 12.
