OIL SEEPAGE FROM POWER STEERING OIL PRESSURE SWITCH
2010-2015 CX-9 - OIL SEEPAGE FROM POWER STEERING OIL PRESSURE SWITCH
APPLICABLE MODEL(S)/VINS
2010-2015 CX-9
DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may exhibit an abnormal steering feel and/or noise while driving the vehicle in freezing temperatures, however, there is no loss of steering control.
This may be due to oil seepage from the power steering oil pump pressure switch (A).
The oil seepage is caused by poor sealing of the oil pressure switch o-ring at low temperature. The shape and
material of the o-ring has been changed to improve low temperature sealing performance.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
