SUBJECT: Sub-Level Sensor Flange Nut Cap Shape Change
INTRODUCTION:
This Service Information bulletin announces a change to the shape of the rubber cap used on the
flange nuts securing the sub-level sending unit to the fuel tank. In addition, two of the caps are now
used in production instead of only one. This change was made to enhance productivity during vehicle
assembly.
PRODUCTION CHANGE INFORMATION:
The new caps were incorporated into production per the table below:

NOTES:

On vehicles produced after July, 2016, a second cap was added in the location shown above.
•
Production of the old style cap has been discontinued. Use the new style cap whenever
replacement is required.
•
Both the new and old style caps can be reused. They are NOT one-time use items.
