Please discard PIP524B. The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI. Condition / Concern A technician may encounter a DTC P0171 And / Or P1101 set current or in history. Recommendations / Instructions If SI diagnostics do not isolate the cause of the concern, inspect the ID code on the Air Cleaner Housing. (See photo below). The correct application for the 2013-2015 Buick Encore and 2013-2015 Chevrolet Trax will have an ID code of ACD and will be fitted with a Hydro Carbon Absorber as shown below. If the Hydro Carbon Absorber is missing, or the ID code is other than ACD, replace the Air Cleaner Housing with the latest listing in the Electronic Parts Catalog. If the Hydro Carbon Absorber is present and the ID code is ACD, refer back to current SI diagnostics. Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. © 2016 General Motors. All Rights Reserved.
