A technician may encounter a customer's vehicle with a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illuminated, and
a P2096 or P2097 set as a current or history DTC.
Calibrations are not optimized
Cause
Correction
Test for and repair any crankcase, induction or exhaust system air leaks.
Check the Rear HO2S circuit resistance, terminal tensions, crimps and locks.
If no related concerns are isolated, do not perform further diagnosis or replace related components at this time. (IE: HO2S / ECM / HARNESS)
