Concern:
L359 and L538, 12MY onwards with 2.0GTDi engines, a warning indicator may illuminate on the IP (Instrument Pack) for low coolant
level and coolant visible on the ground at the front area of the engine bay. On inspection, the coolant leak is from the radiator.
Cause:
Under investigation.
Interim Containment Action:
When the new radiator is fitted: Do not install the 2 bolts that hold the Radiator and the Intercooler together
Install 2 service cable ties (part number UKC6684L) in place of the bolts - see attached photo of the cable tie location
Permanent Corrective Action:
JLR are developing a permanent fix and will issue a new communication in Topix when validated. The current estimated release of the
new information will be end of June 2017.
