Date: August 18, 2017 To: All US Salt Belt State Mitsubishi Dealer Principals All US Salt Belt State Mitsubishi Dealership Service Managers All US Salt Belt State Mitsubishi Dealership Parts Managers Subject: Temporary investigation of Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Front Impact Sensors – Investigation Concluded Since August 2016, Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) has been conducting a temporary investigation of Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) front impact sensors on the following vehicles: 2008 – 2015 MY Lancer (including RALLIART editions) 2009 – 2015 MY Lancer Sportback (including RALLIART editions) 2008 – 2015 MY Lancer Evolution Today, August 18, 2017, MMNA announces the conclusion of this temporary investigation. Dealers are no longer required to collect impact sensor(s) for investigation, and replacement of non-accident related failure of SRS front impact sensor(s) on one of the above vehicles must again follow normal warranty policy. Dealers can no longer replace affected sensor(s) regardless of time and mileage. Thank you for your assistance through this temporary investigation.
