Information: In the event that a Hybrid vehicle or High Voltage (HV) battery has been submerged in water, follow the Workshop procedure for high-voltage vehicles published in PIWIS: “Smoke? Fire? HV battery damaged or modified (e.g. fluid leaking in)? >> Park the vehicle/place HV battery in quarantine location (lithium-ion battery only) >> Perform Classification” Please note that any HV battery that has been submerged under water is likely to be in a critical state. For critical batteries, contact PCNA Technical Support via High Priority PTEC-TLAR immediately upon recognition of a critical battery. For flood damaged Ni-MH high voltage (S-Hybrid) batteries, contact PCNA Technical Support via High Priority PTEC-TLAR immediately upon recognition of a flood damaged Ni-MH high voltage battery.
