TOPIx - SSM73095 - DTC P026A -77 and P023B-11 Logged Within PCM Reference SSM73095 Models F-PACE / X761 Page 1 of 2 XE / X760 XF / X260 Title DTC P026A -77 and P023B-11 Logged Within PCM Category Engine Last modified 25-Sep-2017 00:00:00 Symptom 402000 Cooling System Concerns Attachments 1SSM73095 Attachment v2.pdf (1SSM73095 Attachment v2.pdf) Content Issue: Ingenium I4 2.0L Diesel vehicles which are logging P026A-77 - Charge Air Cooler Efficiency Below Threshold and P023B-11 - Charge Air Cooler Coolant Pump Control Circuit Low - Circuit short to ground within the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). This diagnostic is directing retailers to replace the Charge Air Cooler Coolant Pump (T2H2556), however a number of these parts have been returned and no faults have been found. Cause: Upon investigation, a number of different root causes have been identified which should be addressed before the Charge Air Cooler Coolant Pump is replaced, these are listed below: • Potential of air locks in the cooling system • Harness chafe on the 12+ • Poor earth connection • Poor fuse connection in the front engine junction box Action: Please complete the following checks prior to replacing the Charge Air Cooler Coolant Pump if P026A-77 or P023B-11 logged within the PCM • Complete the coolant system bleeding process as per Topix section 303-03A • Please check ground point G1D132D • Please view the attached PDF which contains images of the potential electrical connection issues and potential harness chafe points which could cause these DTC's.
