If there are questions or concerns with steps defined in this service bulletin, contact Spartan Motors USA, Inc. Customer & Product Support Group. All applicable industry safety standards must be followed when performing work identified in this procedure. Use kit S-2595-001 for applications when cracks no longer 3 inches are present near the welded joints where the rear cab mount structure attaches to either the longitudinal engine tunnel reinforcement or the back of the step. One kit will be needed per side for the repair. Service Bulletins are intended for use by Professional Technicians only. Technical Service Bulletin Use kit S-2596-001 and S256-002 for applications when cracks longer than 3 inches are present and/or material separation has occurred near the welded joints where the rear cab mount structure attaches to the longitudinal engine tunnel reinforcement and the back side of the step. S-2596-001 is for the LH side of the vehicle and S-2596-002 is for the RH side of the vehicle. Pictures of damage areas are to be provided to Spartan Motors Customer Service to assist in determining which kit(s) is/are needed for the repair. STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS: 1.
