Tech Tips Date: August 12, 2016 TT 91-16-12 2016-2017 Jetta, Tiguan, Passat, CC and Beetle MIB2 Radio Replacement Test Plan Does Not Load the SWaP Keys. Radio Displays “You can activate the function by buying an activation key from your VW dealer September 30, 2016: Update to Model Year Applicability. At this time, the replacement test plan for address word 5F is not loading the SWaP keys, which activate certain functions of the infotainment system like App-Connect, Bluetooth and Navigation for example. After replacement of a MIB2 radio and running the replacement test plan, click on the Special Functions tab and run the "Ctrl. module software configuration" for address word 5F, once the test plan finishes. Then select the FES “Function clearing system (FES)”, selecting #2 “Re-create function” for address word 5F. Allow the test plan to finish, then retest operation.
