Introduction
Southeast Toyota Distributors offers a Center Console safe as Port and Dealer installed
accessories. The lock box utilizes a combination lock and a master key. Please refer to
the vehicle specific installation document located in the accessory tab of TIS for
installation instructions and operation details.
This document outlines the procedure for obtaining a replacement key should the key
and combination be lost.

Console Safe Lost key procedure
ACCESSORY IDENTIFICATION
1. Perform TIS VIN inquiry or Service
Lane Search
a. Port installed accessories are
identified by the accessory code
listed in above application chart
shown in option codes.
b. Dealer installed accessories can
be identified by part number listed
in above application chart shown
in service history.
c. This TSB does not apply to vehicles equipped with console safes from other
manufacturers.
VERIFY CUSTOMER OWNERSHIP
2. Before proceeding, verify vehicle ownership by comparing customer’s identification
to name on vehicles registration. The dealer should only supply a key to the
registered owner of the vehicle.
DETERMINE BOX CODE
3. Remove the rubber sleeve from safe handle.
4. Record code engraved on safe handle under rubber sleeve.
5. Re-install rubber sleeve.

6. Reference Parts and Accessory Bulletin T725 on SET DealerDaily to determine
required key.
NOTE: Dealers located outside of the Southeast Region should call (888) 851-2722 and
press prompt 3 for Accessory Warranty.
RESETING COMBINATION
7. Insert key and turn counter clockwise to unlock and open safe.
Hint: Line on locking knob will indicate lock position
8. With key in unlock position; turn each dial until it stops.
9. Once all of dials have stopped, current opening combination code has been
discovered.
10. Remove key.
11. Set knob to the lock position and dials set to the current opening combination
code, Press and hold reset button.
12. With reset button held turn all dials to 0 – 0 – 0.
13. Release reset button.
14. Provide Customer with new key. The customer can reference the owner’s card to
set new combination. A copy of the owner’s card information can be found on the
next page.

Setting Your Own Combination:
The opening combination code is preset to 0 - 0 – 0

Combination must be set to opening combination code prior to resetting.
Set knob to the lock position.
On side of lock is code reset button. Press and hold reset button.
Set your personal combination by turning dials to desired combination.
Release reset button and new opening combination code is set.
To lock, rotate one or more dials after dial is turned to lock position.
To open lock, turn dials to your personal combination.
Discovering Unknown Combination Using Key:
1. Insert key and turn counter clockwise to unlock and open safe.
Note: knob will remain in lock position
2. With key in unlock position; turn each dial until it stops.
3. Once all of dials have stopped, current opening combination code has been
discovered and can be reset.
See your Southeast Toyota dealer if both the combination and keys are lost.
Vehicle registration and owner identification required.
