DESCRIPTION:
* Changed vehicle type.
If vibration or jerk occur during drive in different speeds with small throttle angle and gears at constant
speed, follow the advice under Service.
This might be due to the tires. If the tires are from different brands, has different tyre wear or with
different rolling circumference, DEM (Differential Electronic Module) interprets this as spare wheel is
used on the vehicle and try to compensate to get RPM correct on all four wheels.
AWD= All Wheel Drive
SW=Software
DEM=Differential Electronic Module
TCM= Transmission Control Module
SERVICE:
Start to download latest SW to DEM and TCM according to VIDA.
If you still have vibrations remove fuse to DEM and see if vibrations are gone.
If they are, check wheels for brand and so they are marked exactly the same on all four wheels.
If you have the same brand and same size/ specification/ markings on the tires the easiest way to check
height differences is to check the thread depth or the circumference of the tires.
If it is more than 3mm difference in height test drive the car with a set of wheels from a good car.
VEHICLE REPORT:
Yes, please submit a Vehicle Report if the service solution described in this TJ has no effect. Use
concern area “Vehicle Report” and sub concern area “Support not needed”, use function group 2185.
