This is an informational bulletin regarding proper brake maintenance.
Technical Background
VAS6860 Brake Fluid Exchange Machine (Figure 1). This new unit will replace the VAS5234, greatly
reducing the time required for a fluid exchange. Utilizing the same 30L drum of Audi Genuine Brake
Fluid, the VAS6860 helps to ensure proper brake system operation and increase system corrosion
protection.

 Automatic deactivation when
container is empty
 Pressure less disconnect from vehicle
 Equipment does not need to be bled
when the container is changed
 Pulsating liquid flow to force air
bubbles out of brake system

For brake maintenance and repairs, please use the new machine VAS 6860 together with Audi original brake
fluid.

Important: Only use brake fluid according to Audi specification: 501 14 (refer to ElsaPro and ETKA for latest
information).
