Colleagues,
ODIS Service application version 4.0.0 and Volkswagen diagnostic content version 2.33.1 are currently
available for automatic update download from our servers. If you have not already done so (as per our
previous email broadcast: Version 4.0.0 –Manual Download) we urge you to initiate the download and
installation of these updates immediately on all VAS Diagnostic Devices in service.
Please note that timely installation of the updates specified above are a prerequisite for error-free
performance of the “Gen II” flash for TDIs (that will be available soon). Under no circumstances must
the Gen II flash be performed using the previous ODIS Service application and diagnostic content
versions.
Please note, all SVM (software flashes) must be done with the diagnostic interface hardwired to the VAS
diagnostic device via the USB cable. Use of Bluetooth or the dealership WLAN (WiFi) for this action is
prohibited.
Any claims for consequential damage resulting from use of a Bluetooth or WiFi connection will be
denied.
If you require additional cabling or diagnostic interface devices, they are available from the Volkswagen
Special Tools and Equipment Program (link available in the Service section of vwhub).
Given the extremely critical, high-visibility nature of TDI resolution activities, every effort must be made
to ensure error-free flash performance, and we appreciate your immediate attention to these
important matters.
