2. The Second type is Generation 8 Navigation system which utilizes the Micro SD Card. Pioneer
models that begin with NXF, have map data in the Micro SD card. This is a customer
accessible Micro SD card which can be found behind the front flip cover. The original Micro SD
card should be removed and installed into the newly serviced radio.
The SD card is behind this flip cover.
The Micro SD needs to be removed
when returning the Main Unit to
Pioneer.
RECOMMENDATIONS
There is another Micro SD card (Operating System) inside the Navigation Module. (Similar location to
the Hard Disc Drive in the Generation 7 system). This micro SD Card Should Not be removed for any
reason. Micro SD cards located in this internal slot need to be returned with the original radio.
DO NOT REMOVE
This Micro SD card MUST NOT be removed.
This will void the Warranty status from Pioneer if removed and dealer will be debited the core credit.
