Bulletin No.: 05-00-89-009A Date: May-2017 Subject: Light Utility Vehicle Wheeled (LUVW) Vehicles – Canada Only Models: 2003-2004 Chevrolet Silverado equipped with Military Upfit This Bulletin is being revised to update the website address (URL) in the Service Information section. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 05-00-89-009. Important: This service bulletin is applicable to “GM of Canada” dealers ONLY. “U.S.” dealers should refer to latest version of Corporate Bulletin # 99-00-89-015. Concluding in December 2004, GM Defence has delivered to Canada Department National Defence (DND) vehicles that have been specially modified. These vehicles can include some or all of the following modifications: LUVW Basic: • 24 volt electrical system • Blackout lights • Lusterless paint • Tie downs • HD front and rear bumpers • Rear pintle and trailer connector • Coolant heater • Gun racks • Special rear seating • Fiberglass topper • Military Police Kit • Underbody protection package LUVW Cable Layer • 24 volt electrical system • Blackout lights • Lusterless paint • Tie downs • HD front and rear bumpers • Rear pintle and trailer connector 1 • Coolant heater • Gun racks • Cable layer body Warranty Information Standard vehicle warranty terms with “New Vehicle Limited Warranty” coverage of 36 months or 60,000 km. This INCLUDES all of the specialty equipment installed by GM as listed above. Cable Layer body and equipment service parts can only be obtained from Commercial Body Company at 1-800-665-6126. NOTE: Site access is restricted to GM dealer personnel with a valid Autopartners ID. Technical Support GM dealers can obtain Technical support by contacting the GM of Canada Technical Assistance Center (TAC). Warranty Claim Process Special labour operations have been established for use for the unique military equipment only. These are straight time operations only. Apply standard parts markup to net item field. Detailed comments are required on all claims submitted to include failure and correction information. Use these labour operations in accordance with GM Policy and Procedures. See table below for details.
