SUBJECT:
Oil Seepage- New Oil Filler Tube O-Ring
INTRODUCTION:
This bulletin provides details regarding a new oil filler tube
o-ring developed to address engine oil seepage concerns.
This seepage may accumulate along the bottom sealing
surface of the rocker cover. The new o-ring utilizes material
which has an increased resistance to engine heat.
PRODUCTION CHANGE INFORMATION:
On WRX STI models, the new o-ring was incorporated into production starting with VIN H9825652.
PART INFORMATION:
The part number for the new o-ring is: 806922120.
NOTE: In some cases where the oil fill tube (DUCT) is being replaced, part numbers 15250AA062
and 15250AA041 include the new o-ring.
SERVICE PROCEDURE / INFORMATION:
When replacing the o-ring and / or filler pipe, follow the procedure outlined in the applicable Service
Manual.
REMINDER: The o-ring is one-time use and must be replaced whenever the oil filler pipe is
removed.
