Oil Consumption Class Action Claim Notice Clarification
Recently SOA has become aware of some retailer questions regarding the VIN breakpoint
information supplied as part of the class action notice. To further clarify this information, we
present the following:

As further clarification, please refer to the Production Change Information table from service
bulletin 02-157-14R as shown here. Note that the VIN breakpoints listed only apply to the most
recent model years listed. It also should be noted that as a result of the phase in of the
production improvements, as indicated by the inclusion of engine numbers, some vehicles built
prior to these VIN breakpoints received the improvements. As a result, some VINs built prior to
the listed VIN breakpoints may not be affected by this warranty extension. Always confirm
