6 Classification: Reference: HA17-009 Date: NTB18-006 May 25, 2018 2016-2018 ALTIMA WITH QR25DE/4-CYL ENGINE; MOAN NOISE AFTER A/C COMPRESSOR ENGAGES APPLIED VEHICLES: 2016-2018 Altima (L33) QR25DE (4-cyl) APPLIED ENGINE: IF YOU CONFIRM A moan type noise is heard just after the A/C is turned ON (compressor engages) and lasts for about 10 seconds and/or While the A/C is operating and the compressor clutch cycles from OFF to ON, the moan noise is heard for about 10 seconds. ACTION Replace the low pressure A/C flex hose with the one listed in PARTS INFORMATION. Do NOT replace the compressor for this incident, if it should occur. This bulletin does not apply for compressor clutch locked, squeal noises, or any other A/C malfunctions. PARTS INFORMATION DESCRIPTION HOSE ASSY FLEX LOW ENGINE QR25DE (4-cyl) PART NUMBER 92480-3TA0A * QTY 1 * Do NOT order or use part number 92480-9SH0A. CLAIMS INFORMATION Submit a Primary Part (PP) type line claim using the following claims coding: DESCRIPTION PFP OP CODE SYM DIA FRT Replace Low Pressure A/C Flex Hose (1) TD14AA ZE 32 (2) (1) Reference the electronic parts catalog (FAST or equivalent) and use the appropriate Hose Assembly (92480-*****) part number as the PFP. (2) Reference the current Nissan Warranty Flat Rate Manual and use the indicated flat rate time. Nissan Bulletins are intended for use by qualified technicians, not 'do-it-yourselfers'.
