Introduction
Some 2006 – 2009 model year IS vehicles equipped with F-Sport Rear Lowering Coil Springs may
exhibit a clicking noise from the rear suspension when driving. New Rear Lowering Coil Springs
are available to address this condition. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to replace the
Rear Lowering Coil Springs.

APPLICABLE WARRANTY
• F-Sport Performance Parts installed as original equipment are covered under the Lexus
Accessory Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever
occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.
• F-Sport Performance Parts installed by a Lexus dealer are warranted for 12 months, regardless
of mileage, from the date of installation on the vehicle, or the remainder of the applicable New
Vehicle Limited Warranty, whichever provides the greater coverage.
• F-Sport Performance Parts purchased over-the-counter are covered for 12 months from the
date of purchase.
• Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in
this bulletin.

Repair Procedure
1. Confirm that the vehicle is equipped with F-Sport accessory lowering springs.
2. Confirm the condition as described in the Introduction.
Is the noise present?
• YES — Continue to step 3.
• NO — This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable Repair Manual.

Repair Procedure (Continued)
3. Replace both Rear Lowering Coil Springs.
Please reference the Accessory Installation procedure found on the Technical Information
System (TIS):
“2006-2013 IS 250-350 F Sport Lowering Springs PTR07-53090, PTR07-53091 Rev. B”
4. Perform wheel alignment. Verify the condition is no longer present.
