Adding stop leak products to the A/C system is not a recommended or approved Toyota repair process. During A/C service, moisture enters the A/C system, and can react with the previously added A/C stop leak, forming a gelatinous substance. The gel substance that forms can cause the A/C compressor to bind and or seize. Following these precautions might help prevent gelling from occurring if A/C stop leak is already present in the system. A) Seal disconnected parts with plugs or vinyl tape B) Vacuum purge A/C system C) Confirm leaks are not present LINK REFERENCES This Tech Tip does not contain any link references Expires on Ver. 2.8 01/01/2017 T 04/12/2018 © 2017, Toyota Motor Sales, USA Page 2 of 2
