Steering column assembly St Oil ee rin Figure 1 ACTION Clean the oil drip and residue from the steering column assembly per the SERVICE PROCEDURE on page 2. NOTE: Do NOT replace the Steering Column Assembly for this incident, if it should occur. IMPORTANT: The purpose of ACTION (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire SERVICE PROCEDURE as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair. See your Nissan dealer to determine if this applies to your vehicle. 1/3 SERVICE PROCEDURE 1. Spray brake parts cleaner onto a clean shop cloth as shown in Figure 2. Use only Low VOC brake cleaner that complies with local regulations. DO NOT use carburetor cleaner for this action.
