You MUST closely follow the entire SERVICE PROCEDURE as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair. See your Infiniti retailer to determine if this applies to your vehicle. 1/5 SERVICE PROCEDURE NOTE: Some photos show the front seat removed for clarification purposes. The seat does NOT have to be removed to perform the repairs outlined in this bulletin. Passenger side shown, driver side is similar. 1. Adjust the front seat to the forward most position. NOTE: The seat must be in the forward most position otherwise the screw shaft will rotate when attempting to remove the nuts in the next steps. Figure 1 2. Raise the front seat to the highest position. Figure 2 2/5 ITB17-059a Inboard screw shaft nut 3. Remove the nut on the screw shaft front outboard position. NOTE: Do NOT remove the washer installed behind the nut on the outboard and inboard positions. Refer to Figure 4. 4. Remove the nut on the screw shaft front inboard position. Hand tighten the new M4 flanged nuts. Old NOTE: New M4 flanged nuts are listed in the PARTS INFORMATION section of this bulletin. Figure 5 6. Position the front seat to the rear most position. NOTE: During final torque process, the seat must be in the rear most position otherwise the screw shaft will rotate when attempting to tighten the nuts in the next step. Figure 6 4/5 ITB17-059a 7. Torque the new M4 flanged nuts to 1.9 N·m, (19 kg-m, 16.8 in-lb). IMPORTANT: To allow the thread locker on the new nuts to cure, do not operate the seat slide for 15 minutes.
