One or a combination of the following with the driver or front passenger seat when driving:




Rattling
Vibration
Excessive play
Rocking
ACTION
Replace the front seat rail nuts with the new ones listed in the PARTS INFORMATION section of this bulletin.

successfully completing this repair.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
NOTE: Some photos show the front seat removed for clarification purposes. The seat does NOT have to be
removed to perform the repairs outlined in this bulletin. Passenger side shown, driver side is similar.
1. Adjust the front seat to the forward most position.
NOTE: The seat must be in the forward most
position otherwise the screw shaft will rotate
when attempting to remove the nuts in the next
steps.

2. Raise the front seat to the highest position.

3. Remove the nut on the screw shaft front
outboard position.
NOTE: Do NOT remove the washer installed
behind the nut on the outboard and inboard
positions. Refer to Figure 4.
4. Remove the nut on the screw shaft front inboard
position.

5. Hand tighten the new M4 flanged nuts.
Old
NOTE: New M4 flanged nuts are listed in the
PARTS INFORMATION section of this bulletin.

6. Position the front seat to the rear most position.
NOTE: During final torque process, the seat must
be in the rear most position otherwise the screw
shaft will rotate when attempting to tighten the
nuts in the next step.

7. Torque the new M4 flanged nuts to
1.9 N·m, (19 kg-m, 16.8 in-lb).
IMPORTANT: To allow the thread locker on the
new nuts to cure, do not operate the seat slide
for 15 minutes.
