7/17/2018 – LINK ATLAS™ TORQUE ROD TOWER CAMPAIGN
To: Link Atlas™ Suspension Dealers
Summary of Service Issue
Recently a small number of fire trucks built with Link® Atlas™ suspensions were found to have
cracked torque rod tower brackets. This part is located on top of the truck’s rear suspension axle
(x1 tower bracket per unit). We strongly recommend that each torque rod tower be replaced as
soon as possible.
We are asking that you notify all your dealers that these suspensions were sold to or provide the
information to us so we can contact them as soon as possible. Please treat this as a high priority!
Action plan to be followed:
1. Call Link Suspension of Canada and ask for Robert McDonald in Customer Service. at 1-888472-9326 to inform him where to ship the upgraded torque rod tower service kit part #
80080118. Vehicle Vin # must be provided prior to shipment of service kit or labor
amount being paid.
*Labor rate must be discussed and approved by Link prior to the work being completed.
*Link will pay labor for all work completed within the next six months. No labor will be
paid for work completed after February 1, 2019.
