E-one incorporated (e-one) is recalling certain 2017-2021 cyclone 2, cyclone n, quest 2, typhoon, and typhoon n vehicles. The sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot bore holes, allowing the high pressure fuel rail assembly to leak. dealers will inspect and replace the rail as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed out on may 28, 2021. Recall 150289 [USA]: The unsecured rear axle may shift sideways, resulting in loss of control of the vehicle, thereby increasing the risk of crash.
E-one incorporated (e-one) is recalling certain 2018-2020 cyclone 2 and typhoon ambulances. The lower shock mount bracket may cause the u-bolts to bind and break, possibly preventing the rear axle from remaining secured. e-one has notified owners, and dealers replace any of the affected lower shock mount brackets, free of charge. Recall 144077 [USA]: The damaged starter lock-out relay may prevent the vehicle from starting, hindering personnel from responding to emergencies, increasing the risk of an injury.
E-one incorporated (e-one) is recalling certain 2013-2019 typhoon and cyclone 2, 2013-2014 cyclone 3, 2014-2019 quest 2 and 2017 chsh emergency vehicles equipped with a cummins isl, l9, isx12, x12, isx15, or x15 engine. The engines do not have a diode in the starter solenoid circuit to improve the longevity of the lock-out relay, resulting in accumulated damage over time. e-one will notify owners, and dealers will install a diode in the starter solenoid circuit and install a new starter lock-out relay, free of charge. Recall 157278 [USA]: A loss of hydraulic steering assist can increase the risk of a crash.
E-one incorporated (e-one) is recalling certain 2014-2019 cyclone ii, 2013-2014 and 2016-2019 typhoon, 2015-2017 quest fire trucks. The front shocks may separate from their upper mount on the front suspension. The loose shock may contact and damage the steering gear housing, possibly causing a steering fluid leak and a loss of power steering assist. e-one has notified owners, and dealers will install a new shock mount bolt and nut, hardened washer, and shims to keep the shocks secured, free of charge. The recall began august 28, 2019. E-one incorporated (e-one) is recalling certain 2016-2018 e-one cyclone ii and typhoon aerial devices. The torque rod tower may crack causing failure of the tower, possibly affecting vehicle handling. e-one will notify owners, and direct owners to contact the manufacturer of the atlas suspension for replacement parts, free of charge. Recall 140276 [USA]: If the brake lights incorrectly illuminate, it can confuse other drivers, possibly increasing the risk of a crash.
E-one incorporated (e-one) is recalling certain 2017-2019 cyclone ii, typhoon and quest ii emergency vehicles, equipped with whelen accessory brake lights. Depending on the specific wiring of the vehicle, these brake lights may illuminate when the brake pedal has not been pressed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment." e-one will notify owners, and dealers will replace the brake lights, free of charge. The recall began october 26, 2018. Recall 2021275 [Canada]: Fuel supply
Issue: on certain vehicles, the fuel rail assembly could develop a leak. Note: this recall only affects vehicles equipped with a cummins l9 or isx12 diesel engine. Safety risk: a fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective actions: cummins will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a cummins authorized service center to inspect the fuel rail. If damage is found, the fuel rail and fuel lines will be replaced. If no damage is found, the fuel rail will be reassembled with new crush washers using a special tool.
Recall 2019517 [Canada]: Electrical
Issue: on certain vehicles, the starter lock-out relay could be damaged over time, causing it to fail. If this happens, it will not be possible to start the engine. Note: a possible symptom of a damaged starter lock-out relay is a truck that requires multiple attempts to start. Safety risk: an emergency vehicle with an engine that cannot be started could increase the risk of injury in an emergency situation. Corrective actions: e-one will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a service center to install a relay and diode kit.
Recall 2019022 [Canada]: Suspension
Issue: on certain vehicles, the axle mounting point for the lateral torque rod could fail. This could cause a change in vehicle handling. Safety risk: a sudden change in vehicle handling could increase the risk of a loss of control and result in a crash. Corrective actions: the company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer for the installation of an upgraded lateral torque rod tower on the rear axle.
Recall 2018492 [Canada]: Lights and instruments
On certain vehicles, the brake lights may activate without a brake input. If the brake lights stay on constantly, a following driver may not be alerted that the vehicle ahead is braking, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will replace the brake lights.
