Issue:
At PDI there is a click noise from the front of the vehicle when turning the steering wheel (with the wheels on the ground). Noise is
audible outside and inside the vehicle.
Cause:
Hub/Knuckle joint not fully consolidated. Attached image shows fixing that is related to this concern.
Action:
1. Tighten existing hub nut to 170Nm
2. Remove old hub nut and discard - DO NOT USE Air or Electric tools - remove by hand and use hand tools.
3. Fit new hub nut - DO NOT USE Air or Electric tools.
4. Apply 80Nm Torque.
5. Apply 60° Angle.
Note: New hub / bearing assembly is not required.
Note: Process only applies to all wheel drive variants at PDI.

Vehicles with higher mileage displaying this issue will require the wheel bearing replaced as per Topix Procedure 204-01: Front
