Issue:
The customer reports a MIL and P144C-00 is observed in the PCM.
Cause:
Currently under investigation. Early indications show it is not always due to a leak in the purge line
connection, but an issue or repair action that may have caused a fueling adaption drift.
Action:
Investigate and resolve all fuel system DTCs which are, or have historically, flagged in the PCM. Do not
replace the purge valve if P144C-00 is set in isolation. Once repairs have been completed, reset the
PCM fueling adaption values. Drive the vehicle (a short drive consisting of a highway cruise for
approximately 5 minutes and a short city style stop/start drive is sufficient) in order to confirm the vehicle
is now repaired prior to returning to the customer.
