P41 Interim Repair Procedure Brazil ONLY
OVERVIEW:
Some Jeep Commander and Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles may experience an
unintended change in ignition switch position while driving which may result in loss of
engine power, power steering, and braking assist increasing the risk of a crash and
disabling one or more of the vehicle’s safety features including the frontal airbags.
Chrysler intends to repair the vehicle free of charge (parts and labor). However, the part
required to provide a permanent remedy for this condition is currently not available.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles in the Brazil market only.
NOTE: This bulletin will be cancelled when parts become available.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Adjust the driver seat to allow clearance between the driver’s knee and the ignition
key.
NOTE: All drivers of the vehicle should adjust the seat to allow for sufficient
clearance between the drivers knee and the ignition key.
2. Remove all items from the key ring, leaving only the vehicle key.
POLICY:
Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
