Nissan is conducting a quality action to torque the front fuel tank band bolts to specification
on 12 specific 2019 Rogue Sport (J11) vehicles identified in Service Comm.
Affected vehicles are not subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or
assigned and in transit to the dealer. Nissan requests dealers to complete this repair prior to
sale to ensure customer satisfaction.
*****What Dealers Should Do*****
PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this quality action using Service Comm or DBS
National Service History – Open Campaigns I.D. P8337.
 New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales->
Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign).
 Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information
 Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign
applicability.
2. Dealers should use the attached procedure to remedy any vehicle affected by this
quality action.
3. The service department should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action
performed so it can be closed on Service Comm and release the vehicle.

It is the dealer’s responsibility to check Service Comm or DBS National Service History –
Open Campaign using the appropriate campaign I.D for the campaign status on each
affected vehicle currently in new vehicle inventory.

SERVICE PROCEDURE:
NOTE: The transmission should be in PARK
and the Parking Brake applied.
1. Place the vehicle on a suitable lift.

Lift the vehicle off the ground to a
suitable height for the operator.

2. Locate the FRONT fuel tank band bolts.

NOTE: AWD vehicle shown, 2WD is similar
3. Torque the Front fuel tank band bolts.

Torque both FRONT fuel tank band
bolts to 23 ft-lbs (31.4 Nm).
NOTE: A 16MM socket and a 10-inch
extension will be required.

4. Lower the vehicle and remove from the lift.

5. The repair is complete. Submit a warranty claim using Op Code P83371 (see Claims
Information).
